I. Operator, purpose and content, costs

1. The operator of the hydrogen scenario calculator H2Scout, hosted at www.h2scout.eu, is Spilett new technologies GmbH, Schöneberger Str. 18, D-10963 Berlin.

2. The online tool H2Scout supports regions, municipalities and local authorities in making political and strategic decisions in connection with the establishment of a sector-coupled hydrogen economy. It enables the calculation of different scenarios for the transformation of regional energy systems in the context of the energy transition using hydrogen as an energy carrier.

The following services are offered for this purpose:

a) Calculation of future scenarios in the hydrogen sector

3. The use of the services provided on the website is free of charge for regions, municipalities and other regional authorities until further notice. Should the services become chargeable in the future, the corresponding users will be informed of this change in good time. Users from business and industry can be enabled by the operator to use the service for a fee if necessary.

Supplementary services that go beyond the mere use of the online tool (development and provision of user-specific functions, application-accompanying support and consulting services, etc.) can nevertheless be offered by the operator for a fee.

II. Scope of the Terms of Use

1. These general terms and conditions of use apply to all services, offers and user-specific functions made available on the website www.h2scout.eu. The use of these services is permitted exclusively on the basis of these terms of use. By registering and logging in or, if a login is not required for use, by using the online tool, the user accepts these terms and conditions. The terms of use are available on the Internet at any time and can be printed out.

2. As a rule, the use of the services described under I. 2. requires registration. Insofar as the registration is made for a public or private corporation, the user thereby declares that he/she is authorised to represent this corporation and to dispose of it with regard to the exchange of information. The right of representation must be proven to the operator of the portal.

3. The portal operated by Spilett new technologies GmbH serves to process and evaluate user-related data. For this purpose, the collection and processing of personal data such as contact data and representative authorisations is required.

By registering, each user consents to the processing of the data provided within the scope of the purpose defined by the Terms of Use and undertakes on his part to comply with the provisions of data protection law in accordance with the DSGVO and the Federal Data Protection Act and to process the data exchanged within the scope of the portal or the network only in compliance with the purpose agreed within the scope of these Terms of Use and Data Protection.

III. Permissible use

These websites / apps may only be used for the following purposes:

(1) Viewing these websites / apps,

(2) Input of data for the calculation of h3 scenarios,

(3) Calculation of h3 scenarios limited to the technically/organisationally necessary number,

(4) Use of other functions made available on these websites / apps.

Any other use of these websites / apps without the prior written consent of Spilett new technologies GmbH is prohibited.

The copying, editing, distribution, public reproduction or any other form of use of the content of these websites / apps for commercial purposes is prohibited. The use of automated systems or automated software to extract content from these websites / apps is also prohibited. Any access to the content of the websites / apps that does not take place via the user interface of the websites / apps is also prohibited.

All measures that could interfere with the function of the websites / apps are to be refrained from. This also includes measures that may result in an excessive or unreasonable load on the website / app infrastructure.

Without prejudice to the assertion of other rights, Spilett new technologies GmbH reserves the right to block access to these websites / apps at any time if these terms of use are violated.

IV. Use of the information by Spilett new technologies GmbH

Spilett new technologies GmbH, as the operator of the website, reserves the right to offer users individual further services based on the information provided and will process the information and data for this purpose (creation of overviews and evaluations). Use of the data and information for other purposes or sale to third parties or publication on this website is excluded on the part of Spilett new technologies GmbH. Should new services be planned in the future that require further use of the information provided, the users who submitted this data will be contacted individually and their express consent obtained. In all other respects, the general statutory provisions of data protection law and the data protection rules set out in Part 2 of these Terms and Conditions shall apply.

V. Miscellaneous, registration processes

1. Following the registration process, you will receive an automatic confirmation email through the system. You will only receive one email, regardless of how many entries you make (registering to use H2Scout, entering data, retrieving evaluations).
